Coats for Kids Donations

Firefighters Credit Union has partnered with the Professional Firefighters of Utah (PFFU) for the past two years to donate coats to local needy kids.  We began this partnership in 2013 by purchasing coats in the names of members who obtained new loans during the month of November.

This year, we continued the partnership and purchased 72 coats to donate to the needy kids.  The coats were distributed to children at Stansbury Elementary on October 21st with the help of the West Valley Fire Department.

The International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) teams up with Operation Warm to order and distribute coats.

Operation Warm is a non-profit organization that provides needy children good coats, but also provides Americans with jobs, as each coat is made locally. Operation Warm’s motto is “No child should be left out in the cold,” and new coats help children feel warm, healthy and valued.

Firefighters Credit Union will continue this partnership with the PFFU in this cause for the foreseeable future, and we will encourage members to help us in raising funds to provide coats for children going through hardships
