Shared Branching

As a member of our credit union you can go to other credit unions that participate in the CO-OP Shared Branching network during regular hours and do business with us as if you were in our branch. Shared branching allows you to conduct many of your transactions at more than 5,000 branch locations across the country.

How To Do A Transaction At A Shared Branch

At any Shared Branch location, let the teller know that you need to do a Shared Branch transaction and that you are a member of Firefighters Credit Union (in Utah). Provide the teller your driver's license (or other government issued picture ID) and your account number.

Transactions You Can Do At A Shared Branch

  • Deposits, withdrawals, and balance inquiries
  • Loan payments and loan advances on lines of credit
  • Transfer funds from one suffix to another suffix
  • List of last 10 transactions posted to your account

Transactions You May Be Able To Do At A Shared Branch

The following transactions vary by each location and a fee may be charged by the Shared Branch credit union. A list of fees is available at each Shared Branch location.

  • Purchase Money Orders
  • Purchase Travelers Checks
  • Purchase Cashier's Checks
  • Check withdrawals not made payable to you (made payable to a third party)

Transactions That May Be Limited At A Shared Branch

  • Obtaining cash for a check - you may need to deposit the check and then withdraw funds if available
  • Cash withdrawals may be limited to $500 a day by the Shared Branch credit union
