On Friday, November 1, 2019, Firefighters Credit Union will be upgrading our computer system and services in order to better serve credit union members. Due to this upgrade, the credit union will be closed on Friday, November 1st and some services will be unavailable from Friday the 1st through Sunday the 3rd.
Members will see new features in our online banking, mobile banking, and online bill pay services. Debit and credit cardholders will be able to status their debit or credit cards with the mobile app or in online banking. Members with recurring transfers will be able to review and maintain those transfers in online banking. Important documents and notices will now be available for members to view within online banking. The online bill pay service will now have a business option, allowing multiple employee logins, payment approvals, and the ability to setup direct deposit for employees.
The new system will consolidate many programs into one, permitting the staff to become even more efficient as we focus on serving members' needs. An improved document storage system will help reduce the need to print documents, taking us several steps closed to a truly paperless environment. And added security helps us better protect member and credit union data.
The upgrade will take place from Friday, November 1st to Sunday, November 3rd. Some services - such as online banking, mobile banking, online bill pay, and shared branching - will be interrupted during these three days. All services are expected to be restored by Monday, November 4th at 8:30 am.
This is a big leap forward for the credit union. This upgrade has been in the works for almost a year. With just over two months to go, there are still some important steps to take to make this upgrade a success. Member participation will help tremendously. Reading each notice we send about this upgrade will help members know how the upgrade will affect them - and what to look forward to!
Each member of our staff is ready to answer any questions members may have about the upgrade.
