Changes to Our Operations in Response to the Pandemic

March 16, 2020

Dear Members:

As you are aware, the Coronavirus and the resulting disease (COVID-19) have spread throughout the world. This pandemic is affecting everyday life for people and is now affecting us here at home in Utah. Firefighters Credit Union is committed to the personal safety and financial well-being of our members and staff.

We have been closely monitoring the information about the pandemic from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the National Institute of Allergy and Infection Diseases, the Utah Department of Health, and the Salt Lake County Health Department. We are adapting our operations in response to the information we receive from these health organizations. We have been using best practice sanitation procedures and social distancing practices to avoid the spread of the virus.

Having just one branch location with a small staff presents challenges for the Credit Union during such a widespread health crisis. Our staff works in close proximity to each other in the office. In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus among our staff, we have made the decision to not allow walk-in traffic to the branch at this time. Members can still contact us during normal business hours by calling 801-487-3219. Also, the following services continue to be available to members:

• Online Banking

• Mobile Banking

• Mobile Deposit

• Shared Branching – some locations may be limited to drive through transactions

• Direct Deposits & Direct Payments

• Debit Card Transactions, including ATM withdrawals

• Credit Card Transactions

The Credit Union has in place practices and procedures to conduct much of our business electronically. For example, we can accept loan applications online and close most loans using eDoc, our electronic signature service.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Rest assured, we are making every effort to keep our members and staff safe, and to maintain the high level of service that is always our goal.
